Reimagined Journeys is a multidisciplinary art collaboration organized by Lafayette artist Bekki Canine. Bekki worked with musician Sheeza and poets Kanika Ahuja, JK Anowe, and Logan February to create a multifaceted exhibit engaging the theme of journeys. This project began with the song “Dangerous Journey” composed by Carl Koelling 1831-1914. Journeys is a broad theme that each artist could interpret through their own perspective, background and personal experiences. These poems, paintings and song not only explore ideas of physical journeys, but also express internal journeys of growth and change, discomfort and regret.
